We are only on our second day in Florence and we are already overdosing on the magnificent beauty, art, history and tourists! Forgive the long and multiple posts as I try to capture it all.
First, we are staying in Oltarno, just across the Arno river via either the Ponte Vecchio or Ponte Santa Trinity, steps from both Santo Spirito and the Pitti Palace.

Our wanderings have also taken us to these other neighborhoods and sites:
Stumble stone for a Holocaust victim.
Florence Synagogue, where I visited for Yom Kippur. Sadly, no photos permitted of the stunning Moorish interior. And I had to sit with the women way upstairs … too much patriarchy for me.
Brunelleschi duomo

Blue skies make for big smiles
And finally, this 2025 addition to the Piazza Della Signoria, just steps from the famous statue of David.

Perfecto!
Next up: Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens.
