Scribe Winery and Sonoma Overlook

Our second day in the Napa Valley was as fun as the first, with a lunchtime visit to Scribe Winery, followed by a hike up the Sonoma Overlook to work off the alcohol!


Scribe is a relatively new vineyard on the site of a restored hacienda.


They served us a variety of wines and an exquisite plant-based lunch made largely from vegetables grown in their garden. The fresh food and wines made from grapes grown steps from where we were sitting tasted like we were eating and drinking sunshine.


I forgot to take a photo from the top of the hike (too busy resting with my feet up!), but here's one of John on a stop in the shade part-way up the trail.
